Medical Ayurveda cure programmes
Medical Ayurveda treatment programmes are suitable for people who are already affected by an illness or suffering from chronic fatigue. The treatments cleanse, detoxify and strengthen the organism and have a deep and long-lasting effect on the body's tissues. A wide variety of therapeutic methods are used to initiate an intensive cleansing process that permanently changes the body's condition and brings it back to natural balance and health. The longest and most intensive Ayurveda treatment is experienced during a Panchakarma treatment.
What different medical Ayurveda treatment programmes are available?
Panchakarma cure programme
The highest discipline in traditional Ayurveda is a Panchakarma cure programme. It lasts from at least 14 days to several weeks. The intensive treatments and cleanses combined with a special diet and exercises from yoga and pranayama enable a very intensive, holistic process and a long-lasting "re-setting" is possible.

What happens during a Panchakarma programme?
The Panchakarma programme is at the heart of Ayurvedic treatments. It is an intensive therapy method in which the body is detoxified and cleansed via the gut and skin. Specially selected medicinal herbs support the process. They are used both externally for massage and internally to support the cleansing processes. The metabolism is stimulated, organs and body tissues regenerate. This restores a healthy body environment and removes the conditions in which diseases thrive. At the same time, immunity is strengthened and vital energy returns.
Many people take a Panchakarma programme at regular intervals as a preventative treatment to keep their body healthy.
A Panchakarma treatmentprogramme is traditionally divided into three different phases:
- Pre-treatment (Purva Karma)
The body is prepared for cleansing with oil massages, steam treatments, drinking liquid ghee and Ayurvedic herbal remedies. - Main treatment (Pradhana Karma)
Different methods of colon cleansing - Post-treatment (Pascat Karma)
Recovery and regeneration
For whom is a medical Ayurveda treatment programme suitable?
In principle, an Ayurvedic programme is suitable for everyone.
There are some important contraindications:
- children, pregnant women and very old people
- major physical weakness
- acute illnesses, inflammation or fever
Before starting a medical Ayurveda treatment programme, I always have a preliminary consultation with you, during which we discuss the individual health conditions together.
Treatment programmes in an Ayurvedic naturopathy practice
The traditional Ayurvedic cure takes place in the country of origin, India or Sri Lanka. However, there are now also many opportunities to experience authentic Ayurveda in Germany and Europe.
An outpatient Ayurveda treatment programme in an Ayurvedic naturopathy practice can be an excellent alternative to an inpatient stay.
Smaller practices and centres guarantee individual and holistic care. This means that treatment programmes can be tailored to meet your exact needs and teas and Ayurvedic herbal preparations can be prepared individually for you. Treatments in Germany offer the safety of knowing that only safe preparations are used in the therapy.
The contact can also be continued after the end of the treatment programme. In this way, the changes brought about by your treatments can be sustainably integrated into your everyday life.
Overnight stays are possible in the immediate neighbourhood in various categories of accommodation. I will be happy to send you a list with a selection.
